A 20-year-old male from Airdrie was arrested on Wednesday, July 27, by Strathcona County RCMP after an armed robbery at the TD Canada Trust in Sherwood Park.

Police said the male entered the TD Canada Trust wearing a hoodie and bandana, which covered his face, and demanded cash from the bank teller.

The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the lone male who fled the bank on foot.

A suspicious vehicle was observed leaving a nearby parking lot with a male matching the description of the suspect.

RCMP conducted a traffic stop that confirmed the male to be the same one who was involved in the armed robbery.
