The Airdrie Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Back To Business Breakfast Wednesday, September 14th.

For businesses across the city, it's an opportunity to interact and reunite over free pancakes, sausages, fruit and coffee.

"Generally, we find in Airdrie that business and residents alike are gone for the summer, its pretty low key, so this is just an opportunity for everyone to get together, sort of like the back to school, but the adult variety," said Marie Lauer, Event Coordinator with Airdrie Chamber of Commerce.

Members of Airdrie’s Economic Development department will be on hand, giving those in attendance a chance to have their say in the City's 10-Year Economic Strategy.

Last year, the breakfast saw around 70 people attend and Lauer feels that despite the economic downturn, this year will be no different.

"I think it's really important for business people to get to know each other and to support each other, and people generally like to do business with people they like know and trust."

If it rains, the breakfast will be rescheduled for September 15th.
