Yesterday Team Blue and Team Red of the Lip Sync Sirens met in a charity hockey game where locals could bring a toy for free entry to the Ron Ebbeson Areana and watch the two teams battle it out on the ice.

The game was surprisingly intense, with the Blue Team taking the early lead. However, with three minutes left in the last period of the game, the Red Team score four goals to take the victory 11-7.

No matter how intense the game was, the charity and giving spirit of the citizens of Airdrie was even more so. Two huge bags of toys were collected for the Airdrie Lioness Hamper Program to be given out to families in need.

The Airdrie Lioness Hamper Program is the charity focused on for this month of the Lip Sync Sirens contest. Whichever team donates the most to the charity will be able to pick a song for the opposing team to lip sync to in a make-shift music video.
