Wednesday's massive wind and rain storm caused damage to local businesses on Railway Avenue.

Several shops in the Creekside Village area reported minor flooding as the heavy winds and rain battered their storefronts, seeping through the doorways.

Embrace Bridal was hit hardest, as fans were still running on Friday afternoon (May 26th) to dry water logged baseboards and the hardwood floor.

The rain water that came through their back doors also soaked some of the dresses.

Thankfully, only a small portion of the shop was hit water and clean up has had next to no disruption to their service.

Other businesses including Thumbprint and Oil and Tap were also hit, with one business owner saying he had to stay till midnight to clear the water so the store could open the next day.

According to the Carlisle group, which owns the building, they sent some trade workers to assess damage and any claims would be made through each companies insurance providers.
