Alberta Health Services has released a statement saying that "common respiratory viruses" were determined to be the cause of 14 members of the same family from the Stoney Nakoda First Nation being transported to hospital on Wednesday (April 4).

A four-month-old baby girl died in the home in Morley prior to paramedics arriving there.  An autopsy was scheduled to be performed yesterday.

AHS says it's confident that there is no ongoing health risk to the individuals and no health risk to the public in general.

Most of the family was discharged from hospital yesterday.
