Some students from A.E. Bowers Elementary School used their creativity to give back this week.

Grade 4 student Olivia explain what they've been up to.

"We're doing a project of heart and the proceeds go to help the head start program on the Siksika First Nations."

The students have been making necklaces out of wood tiles that they decorate themselves.

"We decorate it with paint markers. There's a picture on the front and a message on the back," says Olivia.

The Grade 4 class is using a space at the Airdrie Farmers Market to sell their unique items with all the proceeds going to the Siksika First Nation.
