Active cases continue to drop in Alberta as vaccinations are increasing.
In the latest update from Alberta Health, 100 new cases were reported with active numbers dropping to 2,127.
The City of Airdrie saw 21 active cases reported, up from 19 the day before while 16 are in Rocky View County.
Over the last 24 hours, we have completed 4,878 completed tests to give a testing positivity rate of 1.8%. We have also identified 99 variant cases. (2/4)

The province also reported 214 people in hospital with 53 in intensive care. Over 3.7 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been given, with roughly 55 per cent in Airdrie immunized.
These numbers come as Alberta inches closer to fully reopening on Canada Day.
