During the Canada Day Parade on Friday, July 1, Airdrie Urgent Care will remain open.

Access will be blocked off to the care centre from 9 am until noon, but to ensure patients can be seen, Fire, EMS, and Emergency Services will have 2 checkpoints set up.

An access lane designated for Urgent Care Access will be set up," said Ken Hubbard, Deputy Fire Chief. "It will run from Allen Street and Main Street intersection and the First Avenue North and Main Street intersection where there will be check points set up on both sides."

A preliminary patient assessment will be conducted at the check points prior to escorting patients to Urgent Care.

"It's important for everybody to know that Urgent Care is still open and to access that they need to come through the two checkpoints or check with someone at the checkpoint to get through."

Residents are asked to ensure this lane is accessible at all times, and to not use the Urgent Care Centre parking lot for parade parking.
