The forecast didn't initially call for all the snow we received in Airdrie yesterday (November 23) afternoon and overnight but it came regardless.

Snow started in the afternoon and before it ended this morning, we received more than 13 cms of the white stuff, according to Environment Canada. The good news is that the snowfall warning that was issued around dinnertime last night has now ended for Calgary and Airdrie.

511Alberta reports that roads and highways around Airdrie are all snow covered with slippery sections.  Plows and sanders are out but getting the roads back into shape will take some time.

We're going to get back to above seasonal temperatures soon.  By Monday we're looking at a high of plus nine in the sunshine so expect the snow to melt away, at least temporarily.
