The Airdrie Public Library recently added new software to their iMac to give the library a multimedia station.

The Adobe Creative Cloud suite which offers programs such as Animate, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Muse, and many more, are all tools that can be used for web design, photography and interactive animation.

"It basically covers almost anything and everything that you would want to cover in multimedia," said George Hing, IT Coordinator for APL. "Be it animation, be it imagery touching, you name it, Creative Cloud pretty much has it."

Hing said that the software was installed in late February and has been available to anyone with a valid library card since March.

With the Mac's well known desktop publishing capabilities, Hing says it was a no brainer to install the program on their iMac, rather than the other available computers.

"It has a very high resolution in terms of display, it's probably got the best display in the whole library as far as the rest of the equipment is concerned."

In addition to Adobe Creative Cloud, there is also other editing software installed, including Blender, Audacity for audio editing, and Scratch which allows kids to do basic programming.
