Starting on Friday June 10, Rodeo Riders will saddle up to try to earn the title 'King of the Cowboys' in honour of Pete Knight.

Knight was a World Champion Rodeo Bronc Rider who got his start at the Deep Dale Ranch in Crossfield.

To celebrate Knights legacy, Archie Craig started the first Pete Knight Day in 1977, teaming up with 4 other Rodeo community members to plan the Rodeo each year.

The Rodeo now spans over two days and includes a pancake breakfast, parade, fireworks, demolition derby, dance and afternoon picnic.

Pete Knight Days run from June 10th to 11th and for more information on each of the events, go to the Pete Knight Days website.
