A pair of Airdrie volleyball stars are set to take the next step in their careers at the college level.

Kayley Lloyd and Natalya Hauser have been recruited by the Olds College Broncos and are among 10 new players signed for the upcoming season.  They'll join seven returning veterans in the lineup on Head Coach Ryan Marsden's team.

6' Lloyd is a right side hitter who played for the George McDougall Mustangs High School team and the U-18 Southern Alberta Volleyball club last season.

Among her accolades, Lloyd was the captain and won an all-star award for the U-16 Airdrie Calgary Volleyball Club.  She was also an all-star with George McDougall during her grade 12 year.

Head Coach Marsden says of the Airdrie recruit, "She's an extremely versatile athlete that can play both middle and opposite.  She is a natural leader whose teammates respect her so much.  She's also very funny and is someone who will fit in culturally immediately."

Lloyd's academic program at Olds College will be Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Natalya Hauser is a 5'5" setter who attended St. Martin de Porres High and was a member of the U-18 Southern Alberta Volleyball Club in 2017/2018.  She won gold at provincials and a silver medal at nationals.

She says she's excited to be a member of the Broncos.  "I'm excited for the environment.  I'm glad that I will get to be part of such a special team and continue to pursue my heart for volleyball.  I'm excited to be part of such a close-knit environment and to make new friends."

Marsden analysis of Hauser.  She is very quick on the court and her decision making is hard to teach.
