Tyler Petrie has been named the Heritage Junior Hockey League's Player of the Week.

Petrie plays forward for the Airdrie Techmation Thunder. It was a well-deserved award for the 19 year-old after putting up back-to-back three point games over the weekend and has racked up 30 points in just 10 games. This makes it the sixth time an Airdrie Thunder player is named Play of the Week in the 2018-2019 season, including Jordan McConnell three times, Rylan Plante-Crough and Brayden Dunn.

The Thunder currently hold a 32-3 record this season with the top spot in the Northern Division of the league.

Petrie and the Thunder host the Three Hills Thrashers on Friday night. Puck drops at 8 p.m. at the Ron Ebbesen Arena.
