The Airdrie Thunder travel to Blackfalds today (February 24) with one goal in mind:  advancing to the Heritage Junior Hockey League Northern Division Final.

The Thunder lead the best of seven semi-final series three games to none heading into game four at 3:30 pm in Blackfalds.  If they eliminate the Wranglers, it's looking more and more like a Red Deer - Airdrie showdown in the final.

The Vipers have taken a three games to none lead over the Mountainview Colts in the other North semi-final following last night's 4 - 3 win in Red Deer.  Game four goes in Didsbury tomorrow night.

In the South, the Cochrane Generals and Okotoks Bisons have gone to overtime in the first two games of their series and the Generals have taken them both.  Last night in Cochrane it was a 3 - 2 win for the Gens.  The two teams meet again this afternoon in Okotoks.

The other South semi-final also took an extra frame to decide last night as the Coaldale Copperheads scored a 2 - 1 win over the Medicine Hat Cubs in OT.  That gives the Snakes a two games to one lead going into game four which goes in Medicine Hat tomorrow night.
