Two win streaks collided yesterday in HJHL action when the Airdrie Techmation Thunder welcomed the Mountainview Colts in the Ron Ebbeson Areana in Airdrie.

The Colts were going into the game with a four-game win streak, while the top-ranked Thunder went into the game with 9 straight wins under their belts. Fortunately for the Thunder and unfortunately for the Colts, the Thunder continued onto their 10th win in a row.

The Colts were defeated 8-4 with the Thunder doubling their score.

With the win, the Thunder remain first place in the entire Heritage Junior Hockey League, while Mountainview hangs out at third in the Northern Division.

Tonight, the action continues for both the Thunder and the Colts with the thunder hitting the road against the Red Deer Vipers and the Colts welcoming the Stettler Lightning. Both games get underway at 8.

In other HJHL action, the Cochrane Generals defeated the Strathmore Weatland Kings 5-3. Cochrane will play again come Sunday against the Coaldale Copperheads
