It was a day full of birdies, eagles and all kinds of "bird-related" golf terminologies as two Rocky View High School golf teams took part in the provincial tournament.

Springbank High School sent two teams to the provincial event that took place at Springbank Links and River Resort.

The teams competed in four player and the highest score of the four golfers for each hole would be dropped to determine the team's score.

Springbank did not have that luxury however as both their boys and girls teams were short a player.

The boys finished 8th out of 10 teams while the girls were able to bring home the silver medal.

One of the girls shot her best tournament score when she carded an 80.
