After two games in St. Albert last weekend that both went to overtime, including a triple-overtime contest in game two, nobody thought the Airdrie Xtreme were going to walk to a Provincial Championship when the teams met in game three yesterday (March 17) at the Ron Ebbesen Arena in Airdrie.

In a hard fought and high scoring game, the Sabres forced game four in the series with a 7 - 6 overtime win.  This time the game was decided in less than a period of overtime as St. Albert's Tyson Greenway got the winner.

The loss spoiled a four-point effort by Ty Mueller of the Xtreme who scored twice and added two assists.

Kegan Slaney and Craig Armstrong each had a goal and two assists while Hayden Moffat and Colton Koran had the other Airdrie goals.

The Xtreme can still wrap up the series and win the Provincial Championship at home if they can pull out a win this afternoon at Ron Ebbesen.

The puck drops at 1:30 pm.  If a fifth game is needed in the series it will go Wednesday night in St. Albert.
