After dropping two games in a row for the first time all season, the Airdrie Thunder got back in the win column at an important time last night (March 9).

The Thunder evened their best of seven North Final against the Mountainview Colts at two games apiece with a 5 - 1 victory in Didsbury last night.  The Thunder got goals from five different players in the game with Brett Campbell, Tristan Paquette and Jordan McConnell scoring once and adding an assist each.  Luke Jensen and Barrett Sheen also scored for the Thunder.

It was a huge win for Airdrie who had dropped the last two games to the Colts after winning the series opener.  Head Coach Derek Stamp said his team never showed a sense of panic or desperation.  "We've been confident throughout the playoffs and we recognized that our attention to detail needed to be better."

The teams have two days to regroup and get ready for the fifth game of the series which goes Tuesday night starting at 7:30 pm in the Ron Ebbesen Arena.

The South final is looking like it may end quickly as the Coaldale Copperheads have the Cochrane Generals on the ropes following a 4 - 2 win last night that gives them a 3 - 0 lead in the series.

Barring a Cochrane comeback, it could be all over later this afternoon as game four is set to go at 5:30 pm in the Cochrane Arena.
