The final first-round series in the Heritage Junior Hockey League wrapped up last night (February 16) and now we know who'll face off in the best of seven second-round series.

The Mountainview Colts from Didsbury went into Ponoka last night and handed the Stampeders a 6 - 1 loss to take that best of three series in two straight games.

The Airdrie Thunder, who finished first in the Northern Division with a 35 and 3 record will now face off against the Blackfalds Wranglers who eliminated Stettler in two games.

The Colts will take on the second place Red Deer Vipers.  Both the Thunder and Vipers had first-round byes.

In the Southern Division, the Cochrane Generals, who ended their series against the High River Flyers in two straight, will meet the Okotoks Bisons who had a bye in the round because of finishing in second place.

The Coaldale Copperheads, who were first in the South to earn a bye in the first round, will square off with the Medicine Hat Cubs who got by Strathmore in two straight.

The dates for the start of the second round haven't been announced yet.
