All four of Airdrie’s Elite AA Lightning teams were in action last weekend (October 19th-21st) in the South Central Alberta Hockey League.

The Peewee Red Lightning tied their only game on the weekend 5-5 over Red Deer Parkland. Mitchell Patrick exploded for four goals in that game for Airdrie.

The Peewee White also had just one game last weekend, losing 6-5 to the Red Deer Motors with Liam Breakenridge scoring 2 goals.

It was a busy Saturday and Sunday for the Bantam Lightning as they lost 10-1 to the Wheatland Warriors before tying the Red Deer Ramada 6-6. Datyn Kulynych had 3 goals and an assist in the two games combined.

Finally, the Midget Lightning also had two games over the weekend, the first was a 4-3 loss to the Bow Valley Timberwolves. Jakob McLean, Justin LeGrandeur and Jonathan Bosomworth scored for Airdrie in that game.

The Lightning followed that up with a 3-0 shutout over the Taber Golden Suns. Tanner Chapman had a goal and an assist while Chance Griffith made 36 saves in the win.

The Peewee and Bantam teams are on the ice again this weekend starting this Saturday (October 27th)
