It's late October in Alberta so it must be time for high school football playoff action to get underway.

Two games are on tap today (October 19) in the Rocky View High School Football League and one of them involves an Airdrie team.  In the "A" Division, the George McDougall Mustangs, who ended the regular season in third place with a 4 and 2 record, will face the Springbank Phoenix who finished the regular campaign with just a single loss in six games.

Back on October 4th, the Mustangs and Phoenix were embroiled in a tight game that Springbank won 10 - 9.

Tonight's contest gets underway at 7:00 pm at Shouldice Park in Calgary.

Tomorrow the other "A" semi-final goes at the Spray Lakes Legacy Field starting at noon when the Bert Church Chargers, who ended the year in fourth place with a 3 and 3 mark, face the unenviable task of taking on the undefeated, first place Cochrane Cobras.

In "B" Division play, the Bow Valley Bobcats travel to Chestermere's Utley Field for a 6:30 pm tonight for a game with the Lakers.
