Playoff Hockey season is in full swing for local players across the country and south of the border.

In the B.C. Hockey League, goalie Kurtis Chapman will lead the Victoria Grizzlies into their second-round matchup against the Powell River Kings tonight (March 16th)

Chapman was stellar for the Grizzlies in their first-round comeback against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs where they stormed past a 0-3 deficit to win the series in seven games.

In the playoffs so far, Chapman holds a 4-1 record and a Goals Against Average of 1.52, which helped him win the League’s Player of The Week Honour.

Meanwhile, in Montana, former AA Bantam Lightning player Nick Noel and the Helena Bighorns begin the NA3HL playoffs tonight against the Grand Fall Americans.

In 36 games played this season, Noel scored 9 goals and 19 assists for 28 points.

Noel’s first playoff game goes at 7:30 tonight while Chapman and the Grizzlies start at 8:00 pm.
