There seems to be only one thing getting in the way of the Airdrie Thunder lately.  The Okotoks Bisons.

While yesterday's (November 10) game at the Murray Arena in Okotoks was decidedly closer than the last time they met, it was still a loss.  The Bisons improved upon their perfect record in the Heritage Junior Hockey League this season by dumping the Thunder 3 - 1.  Okotoks is now 17 and 0 on the year.  Airdrie drops to 11 and 4 but still holds down first place in the Northern Division, three points ahead of Mountainview.

The loss also put a halt to Airdrie's seven-game winning streak which actually started following their last meeting with the Bisons where they pounded the Thunder 8 - 1.

Zachary Dubois scored unassisted in the first period for the only goal for Airdrie.

The game ends the Thunder's five-game road swing where they went 4 and 1.  Airdrie is back home at the Ron Ebbesen Arena on Friday night when they host the Ponoka Stampeders starting at 8:00 pm.
