The Airdrie Mohawks got off to a great start yesterday (August 10) at the Alcan Cup in Port Coquitlam, B.C. with a pair of wins.  

The 'Hawks, who are going for the Western Canada Senior "C" Lacrosse Championship at the event, started the day by taking on the Ladner Pioneers who they dumped by a 13 - 10 score.

Last night they faced the Lower Mainland and downed them 13 - 3.

Today Airdrie is taking on the Mission Cedar Kings in a game that started at 11:00 our time.

This afternoon at 3:00 pm they'll meet Coquitlam.

The Mohawks are looking for a gold medal at the event after finishing with bronze for the past two years.
