The results were very much the same in the second half of home and home series involving Airdrie and Cochrane players and their respective WHL teams.

The Medicine Hat Tigers, Calgary Hitmen and Kelowna Rockets all completed sweeps of the weekend series against the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Kootenay Ice and Vancouver Giants.

Despite a second star effort from Cochrane's Tyler Wong who had a four point night with two goals and two assists, the Tigers prevailed over the Hurricanes 8 - 7.  Gary Haden of Airdrie plays for Medicine Hat.

Jayden Gordon of Cochrane and the Calgary Hitmen dumped Airdrie's Barrett Sheen and the Kootenay Ice for the second straight night, winning by a score of 4 - 1.

And Cochrane native Dillon Dube and the Kelowna Rockets got the upper hand again on the Vancouver Giants and Airdrie's Taden Rattie in a 5 - 2 win.

This is the final weekend of regular season play in the Western Hockey League.  Haden, Wong, Gordon and Dube will move on to the playoffs while Kootenay and Vancouver missed the post season meaning Sheen and Rattie won't see playoff action.
