It was a busy weekend for three of the Elite AA Lightning teams as the SCAHL began the regular season.

The Airdrie Peewee Lightning White was the busiest of the bunch playing two intense games to open their year.

In the first game, the Airdrie Peewee Red just got by Airdrie White with a 6-4 victory.

Kaden Wilkins had two goals for Team Red in that win.

The Lightning White would suffer another tough loss the following day, 10-7 to the Wheatland Braves.

Despite those losses, Jaxon Bouchard had three goals in the two games combined while Hunter Jaman had a goal in each game.

The Bantam AA Lightning also started their season last weekend in stunning fashion. Dayton Kulynych had two goals while Auston White made 32 saves in a 3-1 win over the Foothills Bisons.

The Midget AA Lightning start their season this weekend with a doubleheader. They host the West Central Tigers on Saturday (Sept 29th) before hitting the road on Sunday against the Wheatland Chiefs.
