The Rockyview Knights saw their season in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League come to an end on Saturday night (July 28).

The Knights took on the Calgary Mountaineers in game four of the best of five Senior B South final.  On Thursday, the Knights clawed their way back into the series with an 11 - 9 win to cut the deficit to two games to one.  They needed another win Saturday night at the Stu Peppard Arena in Calgary to force game five.

Things looked promising as the Knights held a slim lead with six minutes to go in the game but then the Mounties tied things up, forcing overtime.  The extra session didn't go the Knights way as Calgary outscored them 4 to 2 to take the game 13 - 11 and win the series three games to one.

The Mounties now advance to the provincial Senior B final against the defending champion St. Albert Miners who knocked off the Edmonton Warriors in three straight in the North final.
