An Airdrie Hockey player has been chosen to wear the Red and White at the U17 World Hockey Challenge next month.

Jake Neighbours, who is in his rookie season with the Edmonton Oil Kings was named to Team Canada-White for the annual competition.

Neighbours has 3 goals and 7 assists in 14 games so far this season for Edmonton.

Team Canada-White will join Team Canada-Black, the Czech Republic and the United States in Group A while Team Canada Red, Finland, Russia and Sweden will play in Group B.

The tournament runs from November 3rd to 10th in Saint John and Quispasmis, New Brunswick.
