The Airdrie Xtreme lost to the team chasing them for first place in the South Division of the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League yesterday (February 3), and the loss came right in the Xtreme's own backyard.

The Red Deer Rebels came into the Ron Ebbesen Arena and handed the Xtreme a 5 - 3 setback.  Even with the loss, the Xtreme still hold a four point lead over the Rebels in the South Division and have played one less game.

Keagan Slaney had a pair of goals for the Xtreme and Ty Mueller scored the other as well as chipping in with an assist.  Craig Armstrong had two assists.

The Bisons travel to Calgary this afternoon for a 1:45 pm game against the Calgary Bisons at the Cardel Rec South Arena.
