The game was the first warm-up for the Heritage Junior Hockey League season for the Airdrie Thunder but, if the result was any indication, it looks like they're already warm.

After only two nights of tryouts in the previous week, the Thunder came out flying against the Three Hills Thrashers last night (September 7) and cruised to a 10 - 1 victory.

Airdrie is in the midst of their evaluation camp which includes five pre-season games.

The team will be back on the ice for another exhibition tilt tomorrow when they host the Okotoks Bisons.

Puck drop is at 7:00 pm at the Ron Ebbesen Arena.

Tonight, both the Cochrane Generals and Mountainview Colts get their first taste of pre-season action when they take on one another at the Didsbury Recreation Complex starting at 8:00 pm.
