Noah Edstrom of the Airdrie Xtreme is in for a rare treat today (January 12).

The forward will be in the lineup when the South Division Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League team takes on the North in the All-Star Game in Fort Saskatchewan this afternoon.

Edstrom was selected for the game by the coaching staff of the Red Deer Rebel Chiefs, who will be behind the South bench for the today's game.  Edstrom was chosen because of his outstanding play with the Xtreme this season.  He has 13 points on 10 goals and three assists in 21 games this season.

The All-Star Game is set for 1:00 this afternoon.

Tomorrow, Edstrom will join his Xtreme teammates as they travel to Okotoks to face the Oilers in a 4:15 pm game.  

Airdrie is fifth in the Ram South Division while the Oilers are third in that division.
