To say Brayden Dunn enjoys playing the Ponoka Stampeders would be putting it mildly.

Dunn has owned the Stampeders this Heritage Junior Hockey League season.  Last night (December 14) Dunn scored four goals and added three assists in leading the Thunder to an 11 - 1 whitewashing of Ponoka.

The scoring output means that Dunn has collected 10 goals and 16 points in a pair of home ice victories over the Stampeders this season.

Cooper Page and Rylan Plante-Crough each added a pair of goals for Airdrie with singles coming from Caleb Reed, Dane Bennett-Ninijean and Barrett Sheen.

Goaltender Ryan Simpson kicked out 18 shots to improve his personal record for the year to 13 and 1.  The Thunder are now 26 and 2 on the season.

It was the only game of the weekend for the Thunder who'll round out their pre-Christmas portion of the HJHL schedule next Friday by hosting the Red Deer Vipers at 8:00 pm in the Ron Ebbesen Arena.

The Thunder will be looking for a win to avenge a 5 - 4 loss to Red Deer the last time the two clubs met on December 1st.

In other games for area teams last night, the Mountainview Colts had little trouble disposing of the Blackfalds Wranglers, beating them by a 6 - 1 score.  Tonight the Colts travel to Red Deer to face the Vipers.

The Cochrane Generals were in Three Hills last night and crushed the Thrashers 10 - 1.
