The latest rankings are out from Football Alberta and show that two members of the Rocky View High School League remain ranked in the top ten of their respective divisions.

The Cochrane Cobras remain, it seems, the perennial number one ranked team in the province among Tier Three schools.  Last week, the Cobras actually lost a game, but that was to a team from Clairmont, California in an exhibition.  Games against U.S. opponents aren't taken into consideration when putting together the Alberta rankings.

The Cobras have one more game left in the regular season of the Rocky View League.  They'll play the Croxford Cavaliers next Saturday at the Ed Eggerer Athletic Park in Airdrie.

The Springbank Phoenix have steadily moved up the rankings thanks to consistent winning in Rocky View.  Last Thursday, the Phoenix edged the George McDougall Mustangs from Airdrie 10 - 9.  The win moves them up another notch in the rankings to sixth overall among Tier Two schools.

The 4 and 1 Phoenix host Chestermere on Friday at the Park for All Seasons.
