They're only three games into their first season in the Foothills Major Baseball Association (FMBA) but the Airdrie Brewers are finding the going to be extremely tough.

After dropping both ends of a double-header yesterday (May 12) to the Calgary Dukes, the Brewers have been outscored by their opposition 45 - 11.

The Dukes took the games by scores of 13 - 3 and 20 - 4.

Big innings turned out the be the demise of the Brewers.  In the opener, the Dukes scored seven times in the first inning and added four more in the fourth.  In the second of the twin-bill Calgary piled up five runs in the third then put things away with nine runs in the seventh inning.

Airdrie was held to four hits in the first game and seven in the second.  The Brewers are now 0 and 3 on the year.

Next action for the club will be on Tuesday night (May 15) when they face the Canadians at 6:30 at the FMBA Field in Calgary.
