The Airdrie Brewers looked poised and ready to claim their first win in the Foothills Major Baseball Association (FMBA) last night (May 15).

Then came the last inning.

After taking a 2 - 1 lead in the bottom of the first, the Brewers gradually built the lead to 4 - 1 over the Calgary Canadians.  The Canadians chipped away, closing the gap to 4 - 3 going into the seventh.

That's when the floodgates opened.  The Canadians pushed five runs across the plate and took an 8 - 5 win.

The loss drops Airdrie to 0 and 4 in their first season in the FMBA.  For the Canadians, it was their first win and improves their record to 1 and 3.

The Brewers have a little more than a week off before their next game.  On Thursday, May 24th they'll face the Diamondbacks.
