Airdrie's Zach Boychuk will stay in the Kontinental Hockey League, but play in a different country.

The former first round NHL Draft pick signed a one year deal with HC Slovan Bratislava after spending most of last season in Siberia.

Boychuk played in 35 games last season with HC Sibir Novosibirsk, scoring 7 goals and 9 assists.

Bratislava will be the 8th team that Boychuk has played for since he was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2008.
