They're down to four teams in the Western Hockey League playoffs and we're down to two area players to keep our eyes on.

On Friday night (April 20) the series' between the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Swift Current Broncos and the Tri-City Americans and Everett Silvertips got underway in Swift Current and Everett respectively.

Balzac's Zachary Cox is suiting up for the Hurricanes who find themselves down two games to none after losing a pair of the road.  The Canes dropped a 3 - 2 decision in the opener then lost 4 - 3 in overtime last night.  Former Hurricane Giorgio Estephan scored a hattrick, including the extra time winner, for the Broncos.

The series between Tri-City and Everett, featuring Cochrane's Connor Bouchard in the Americans lineup, is all square at a game apiece.  The Silvertips took the first game 3 - 2 but Tri-City came back for a 5 - 3 victory last night.

The teams now travel to Lethbridge and Tri-City for game three in both series tomorrow night.
