Alberta cowboys made their province proud last weekend (June 28-July2) after winning big at the Airdrie Pro Rodeo. 

Among some of the big winner from Alberta was Cody Cassidy from Donalda who claimed the Steer Wrestling title with a time of 3.8 seconds.

Kasper Roy from Mossleigh and his teammate Brady Tryan from Montana tied for the lead in the Team Roping with a time of 4.2 seconds.

Logan Hofer of Magrath also tied in his event, the Tie Down Roping with a time of 7.9 seconds.

The Novice competitions belonged to Alberta athletes as Chett Dietz of Milo took the Novice Bareback while Logan Hay of Wildwood won in Saddle Bronc and Arrowwood's Beau Gardner won the Steer Riding.

Tie-down roping:(tie) Cimmaron Boardman (Jackson, MO) and Logan Hofer (Magrath, AB), 7.9 seconds

Ladies barrel racing: Carman Pozzobon, 14.871 seconds

Bull riding

Round 1: (tie) Nick Tetz (Calgary, AB)  Shane Peters (Delburne, AB), 86.5 points

Round 2: Lonnie West (Cadogan, AB), 88.5 points

Average: Lonnie West, 172.5 points

Novice bareback: Chett Deitz (Milo, AB), 73 points

Novice saddle bronc: Logan Hay (Wildwood, AB), and Jake Burwash (Nanton, AB), 75 points

Steer riding:Beau Gardner (Arrowwood, AB), 79.5 points,
