The regular season ended this week in Rocky View basketball, and now Airdrie teams in all four divisions will turn their focus to the upcoming Divisional playoffs.

In the senior boy's division, the season ended with a three-way tie for first place between the Cochrane Cobras, George McDougall Mustangs and Bert Church Charges, who all finished the season with a 4-1 record. Seeding for the upcoming playoffs was determined using Rocky View's tiebreaking protocol, which looks at points for and against for each team in the regular season. Using that protocol, the Cobras got the top spot, followed by the Mustangs in second. Those two teams will benefit from a bye to the second round of the playoffs, while the third-place Chargers will take on the last place Springbank Phoenix. The Croxford Cavaliers finished the season in fourth place and will take on the Chestermere Lakers in the quarterfinals. Both teams finished the season with a 1-4 record.

In the senior girl's bracket, all three Airdrie teams will take part in the quarterfinals. Two Airdrie teams will face each other in the first round, with the third place Cavs taking on the sixth place Chargers. The Mustangs will look for redemption against the Phoenix. Those two teams met in their final regular season game this week, which Springbank won.

Croxford and Bert Church will also face one another in the junior girl's bracket. The Cavaliers finished the season in second place while the Chargers sit at the bottom of the heap. Meanwhile, the Mustangs will also play a rematch against the Phoenix in the first round of the playoffs.

In the junior boy's playoffs, there will be a different crosstown matchup as the fourth place Mustangs take on the fifth place Cavaliers. Both George McDougall and Croxford finished the season with a 3-3 record. Elsewhere, the Chargers will hope to upset the higher ranked Phoenix.

The playoffs start on February 27 for senior teams and February 28 for junior teams.
