Gary Haden from Airdrie is having a great year with the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League.  In fact, you might call it a career year.

Since coming to the Blades from the Medicine Hat Tigers earlier in the year, Haden has put together an outstanding season.  In nine games with the Tigers, Haden had just one goal and two assists.  Since that time, in 54 games with the Blades, Haden has racked up 30 goals and 32 assists for 62 points.

Last night he assisted on one of the Blades goals as Saskatoon beat the Prince Albert Raiders 3 - 2.  Saskatoon is solidly entrenched in an Eastern Conference playoff spot.  They have a record of 45 wins, 14 losses and 8 overtime losses, good for 98 points.   The Blades are second in the Conference behind Prince Albert and have clinched a playoff spot.

Hayden is 43rd in the WHL in scoring and sits 30th among goal scorers.

Tonight the Blades take on the Raiders again in the second of a home and home series in Prince Albert with Haden looking to add to his point total.
