A foursome who curls out of the Airdrie Curling Club has a record of 2 and 1 after two days at the U18 Canadian Girls Curling Championship in Sherwood Park.

Jessica Wytrychowski along with her teammates Olivia Jones, Micayla Kooistra, and Emily Kiist started the championship with a 7 - 6 win over Newfoundland and Labrador on Tuesday and followed that up with an 8 - 5 decision over Quebec this (April 3) morning.

They then went up against another team with a 2 and 0 record, Manitoba who stayed unbeaten with a 6 - 3 win over the Airdrie based rink.

Tomorrow, Wytrychowski will face New Brunswick in the 2:00 pm draw.  Then at 6:00 pm they'll play the Northwest Territories.

The round robin portion of the event continues until Friday with playoffs on Saturday and the championship going on Sunday.

The Wytrychowski rink won the Alberta U18 title in Medicine Hat.
