The Airdrie Raiders football team won their second straight Spring League game Thursday night while battling not just the Calgary Rebels, but a snowstorm.

Despite the weather, the Raiders shut down the Rebels offense not allowing a single field goal or touchdown in the match. The Raiders gave up a safety midway through the first half leading to a final score of 19-2

Quarterback Danny Skelton threw 2 touchdown passes in the first half. The first touchdown pass was caught by Ben Oliver. The second was a deep pass to Tristan Remus-Arevalo. TD Ouellette also scored a touchdown on a 90 yard punt return.

The team’s linebackers Dylan Sorsdahl, Tyler Ruck, Mateo Gramaglia and Gavin Armstrong, have been given much of the credit for the win.

The Raiders next game is Thursday, April 18th at McMahon Stadium as they take on the Calgary Mavericks. Kickoff is 7:00 P.M.
