Team Alberta finished the Baseball Canada Cup yesterday (August 12th) with a win over Manitoba in Moncton.

Airdrie’s Ayden Makarus struck out twice in the game but his team held on to win 4-3 and finish seventh overall in the tournament.

Makarus finished the Baseball Canada Cup with 6 hits, 1 home run and 4 RBIs, scoring 7 runs in the 6 games played.

Teammate Evan Wilde had two RBIs in his only game of the tournament where Alberta beat Newfoundland and Labrador 12-3 last Friday.

Team Ontario won the Gold Medal in the Baseball Canada Cup with a 9-5 win over British Columbia while Nova Scotia claimed Bronze beating New Brunswick 9-3.
