Two local baseball players are in Moncton, New Brunswick this week taking part in the Baseball Canada Cup U17 Tournament. 

Ayden Makarus and Evan Wilde are part of Team Alberta for the annual tournament which began yesterday (August 7th).

Makarus scored one run for Alberta in four appearances at bat, as Alberta fell 7-5 to Prince Edward Island.

Makarus and Wilde will look for big performances in their next game this afternoon against Manitoba.

Opening pitch is set for 3:00 pm.
