A practically unbelievable season in the Heritage Junior Hockey Leauge just keeps going for the Airdrie Thunder.

The club made it 17 wins in a row this season when they travelled to Stettler last night (November 9) and handed the Lightning a 6 - 3 setback for one of the Thunder's closest games of the year.

Brayden Dunn led the way for Airdrie scoring twice and picking up an assist.  Jordan McConnell also had a three-point night with a goal and two helpers.

Rylan Plante-Crough, Brett Campbell and Kirkland Spencer each had a goal and an assist.

It was an excellent night for Airdrie special teams with the Thunder scoring on three of six power-play attempts.  They also killed off all nine shorthanded situations.

It was the only game on the scheduled for the Thunder this weekend.  On Wednesday night they'll pay a visit to Didsbury to face the Mountainview Colts.
