We want to give you a small glimpse into what we do every day!

Working in radio can be an exciting and dynamic experience. You get to be creative, think on your feet and have lots of fun. It’s not just about sitting in a studio and talking. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes.
At Air 106 and Discover Airdrie, we get to do a lot of cool things, from interviews to live on-location broadcasts to picture taking and writing stories. We also get to give away prizes and talk about topics that matter to our listeners.

One of the most important parts of our job is staying calm and keeping our cool under pressure. We have to keep all of our tasks straight and juggle different projects at once. Technology can be a great help in this regard, as it allows us to keep track of our tasks and plan our days accordingly.

But it’s not all about the tech. We also have to be able to think on our feet and adapt. Every broadcast can be different, and we have to be prepared to go with the flow and keep a smile on our faces.

Or as Anna would as usual, say it better than me:

So that’s just a glimpse into what we do behind the scenes at Air 106 and Discover Airdrie. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s also a lot of fun. We hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about a day in the life of a radio personality.
