Repair work on the main waterline between Calgary and Airdrie has been underway since Tuesday and was scheduled for completion Thursday, but the City of Airdrie will need us to conserve water over the weekend because the work's not quite done. Lorne Stevens with the City says residents and businesses deserve a big thanks for curbing their water use and reducing the draw on our reservoirs while the main line has been shut down.

“Waterline maintenance often takes a few days longer than planned due to the nature of the work,” says Glenn Archer, Team Leader of Water Services for the City of Airdrie. He adds, we're in good shape, owing to Airdrie residents reducing their water consumption.
