In the wee hours of the morning of November 22, members of the Chestermere RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Range Road 284 near Highway 1. The driver of the black Honda Civic was found to have outstanding warrants and RCMP also found a small amount of marihuana on him. A search of the car resulted in the location and seizure of approximately 100 grams of the highly addictive drug, methamphetamine. They also found electronic scales, baggies, cell phones, a few ecstasy pills, and a fake handgun in the car. The driver and a male passenger were arrested and transported to the Strathmore RCMP Detachment.

36 year-old Jason Trevor HARRON of Chestermere and Calgary, and 31 year-old Brett Arthur KLYNE of Calgary face a variety of charges, including possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of ecstacy for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of an imitation firearm. They'll appear in court to answer the charges on November 25 and December 6, respectively.
