The Airdrie Techmation Thunder came away win 2 wins this past weekend, both in a shootout.

The first game was on Saturday against the Coaldale Copperheads where the Thunder came away with the 6-5 shootout win. Airdrie's goals were scored by Joey Haden, Reed Chalmers, Jeremy Jobin scored twice and Will Barrett. In the shootout, Kyle Shoemaker was able to score the game-winning goal.

In game two of their weekend games, the Thunder escaped Medicine Hat with a 5-4 shootout win. Goals were scored by Tanner Chapmen, Zachary Jones, Joey Haden and Jack Turton. This time Tyler Broesky had the shootout winner.

The Thunder currently have a record of 12-7 and sit fourth in the league with 24 points behind Medicine Hat with 27 points, Cochrane with 30 points and Okotoks with 38 points.

Up next on the Thunder's schedule is two games this upcoming weekend. They have a Friday game against the 6-12-2 Rocky Rams and a game Saturday against the 7-12-1 Red Deer Vipers.
