The Airdrie Techmation Thunder now know who'll they'll meet in the Heritage Junior Hockey League North Division finals.

The Thunder, who finished in second place in the division during the regular season, will travel to Sylvan Lake to take on the Wranglers, who placed first.  Game one of the best-of-seven goes Wednesday, March 8th at 8:00 pm in the NexSource Centre.

Airdrie advanced with a tight, six-game series win over the Mountainview Colts.  The Wranglers also took their semi-final in six games, finishing off the Rocky Rams 4 - 2 Friday night.

Game two of the series is set for Friday night at 8:00 pm in Airdrie's Ron Ebbesen Arena with the third game back in Sylvan Lake on Sunday evening.

Sylvan Lake took four of the five meetings between the two clubs during the regular season but most of the games were close with Sylvan Lake winning by one goal twice, including a game that was decided in a shootout.

The South Division final has also been determined and will also be a battle between the two top teams of that division.  The Medicine Hat Cubs advanced by crushing the Cochrane Generals 9 - 0 last night to take that series in six games.  The Cubs will play the Okotoks Carstar Bisons who knocked off the Strathmore Wheatland Kings in four straight.  The date that the series will start hasn't been decided.
